My first job as a high school physics teacher allowed me to acquire skills that I would not have, had I gone right into the financial services industry out of college.  My clients appreciate that I have a heart of a teacher.  After beginning my career as a financial advisor in 2005, I have been afforded the chance to do many things I enjoy: teaching, serving others, studying investments, and making a difference in others lives.  These privileges in addition to working alongside a great team and serving great clients, makes my days at work hardly seem like work.

A great source of joy in my life is my family.  My wife Karen and I married in 2003.  I cannot think of a better teammate.  Our four kids (Connor, Ramon, Winston, and Eden) keep our lives full and meaningful.

When I was in grade school, anytime I took a "what should my career be" test I received the same result, financial advisor. Although it took me a few years to re-find my calling, I am blessed to be working side by side with my clients and helping them succeed both financially and in life. My passion is helping simplify the world of finance for my clients, and helping them discover, and reach their financial dreams.

When I am not at work my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My wife Blair and I have been married since 2014, and our lives have become a lot more fun since our son Jace was born in 2019 and then our daughter, Kira in 2022. Jace is a sweet and fun loving little boy who always keeps us on our toes. Kira loves to dance and mess with her brother and steal his toys.

I have lived in Colorado more than half of my life although I was born in and went to college in Northern California. I have two daughters that I love spending time with. Prior to coming to work with Joel in 2007 I worked in the photography industry. Photography is still a big passion of mine, but I love being a part of the PlanWiser Team and helping our clients reach their goals.

Storm graduated from UCCS with a Bachelors in Economics in December 2023. He is excited to learn more about the Financial and Accounting worlds while working at PlanWiser. Storm grew up in Oregon, has 4 siblings (one of which is a twin), is a proud uncle, and has called Colorado Springs home since in 2011.
